Ready in 1 to 2 hours

Ingredients

Stock Pot

2 cups Zatarain’s Crab Boil

1 tbsp liquid Zatarain’s Crab Boil

¼ cup of apple cider vinegar

1 lb shrimp still in the shell. Do not peel before boiling.

1 Bell Pepper cut into quarters

Sausage (1 or 2 links cut into pieces)

Corn cobs ( about 6 small ones)

Crabs (blue crabs or crab legs) Cleaned

(remove the dead man fingers before cutting in half or eating)

½ cup of granulated sugar

1 onion cut into quarters

2 lemons cut in half and squeezed

1 whole garlic peeled

1 lb of red potatoes cut in half

( amount of meats depending on the size of the pot)

Directions

Fill the pot halfway with water and add all seasonings. Boil for 10 minutes.

Add sausage, potatoes, corn, and crabs. Boil for another 20 minutes.

Add shrimp at the 15 minutes mark.

After 20 minutes, turn off the heat and let sit for another 30 minutes to an hour.

This allows for the seasonings to actually be absorbed. You can remove the shrimp and potatoes earlier so they are not overdone.

Ça c’est bon! (thats good!)

Lagniappe

You can add anything to this Cajun Seafood Boil such as crawfish, turkey necks, mushrooms, artichokes, celery, cabbage, etc.
